Who We Are?

Founded in 1990 by Wolfgang Rittgers, our company has grown from a small sign shop in La Crosse, Wisconsin, into a trusted provider of custom signage solutions for businesses of all sizes. Wolfgang’s career began in 1988 as an apprentice at the G. Heileman Brewing Company, where he honed his craft under the guidance of seasoned sign painter Floyd Richardson. After two years of training, Wolfgang opened his own shop at 114 Mount Vernon Street, and within a year, expanded operations to a larger facility at 319 Front Street—now the site of the La Crosse Center’s south hall.

Today, we operate from a facility in La Crosse’s industrial park, conveniently located between City Brewery and Emplify Health. This strategic location allows us to efficiently serve clients across the region, delivering high-quality, customized signage solutions.

Wolfgang’s extensive technical expertise is the foundation of our business. Drawing on skills developed while working alongside his father, an aircraft mechanic, Wolfgang became adept in working with a wide variety of materials, including metals, wood, glass, and specialty coatings. He is self-taught in welding (TIG and MIG), machining, and fabricating with wood, steel, and aluminum—skills that set our business apart in the highly competitive sign industry.

To further enhance precision and innovation, we have integrated cutting-edge technology into our process. Wolfgang designed and built a 3-axis CNC router, which allows us to produce intricate and detailed cuts in wood, acrylic, plastic, and aluminum. Additionally, we utilize CAD design and 3D printing to ensure every project meets the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
